CEU's at the SPA will be located at the majestic Glen Ivy Spa in Corona, California. Admission to the spa is included in the price of the course.
Attendee's will spend their 1st hour together at 10am, after checking in (9am) and getting settled. During that hour they will receive their curriculum and instruction on how to complete the "healing" packet. Attendees can then partake in the spa environment at their own pace. If attendees wish to book a spa treatment they can do so at their own leisure; the summer is quite busy, so the sooner the better. We have selected dates that the spa is open into the twilight hours. So check in is at 9am and attendees may stay as late as 9pm if they choose. Ask a friend or colleague to join you and book together. We are limited to 10 participants at a time. All CEU certificates will be emailed within 48hrs of the attendee's completion of their "Active" Self-Care for Healers.

“Active” Self-Care for Healers (6 hrs BBS/CAMFT approvedCEU’s)
Course Objective Although stress occurs in most work, stress and burnout are extremely high in service professionals aka "helpers and Healers", who spend their days and their lives caring for and creating space for the needs of others. “Helpers and Healers” are at high risk of suffering from secondary trauma and ingesting that trauma in a way that is unhealthy and unproductive. The purpose of this course is to allow helpers and healers to gather in a healing space and practice self-care and health enhancement. Every clinician deserves to take in the opportunity to practice self care in a "real classroom." Experiencing this curriculum in a truly therapeutic setting will enhance the overall experience.
Learning Objectives Upon completion of this course, you should be able to: 1. Distinguish the effects of stress and trauma exposure. 2. Determine the cause of the stress, client or self-inflicted? 3. Describe steps to “de-stress” such as deep breathing, meditation, art, writing and body movement. 4. Discuss the not only the importance of self-care, but implement a plan, a call to action for personal health and well-being. 5. Take and understand the self-assessment of compassion fatigue and interpret the results. 6. Describe in detail the “ideal day” and what steps are to be taken to achieve that day. 7. Actively practice meditation, movement, self-care and deliberate action towards energetic growth. * Optional movement activities include tai chi, yoga, aqua aerobics, aqua zumba, jacuzzi, swimming, mineral pools, meditation garden, "Red Clay Mud Scrub" and exfoliation, Hot & Cold pools- hydrotherapy
